Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Been there with a bone cancer scare. Spent a few long days waiting for the results but fortunately all clear. It's an awful shock to the system.

My youngest is finishing up 6th class, I mentioned that soon there would be no more art on the fridge after 10 years of always having something on it. When I got up this morning they had both been up before me and drew pictures of me and them in crayon and stuck them on the fridge, I was in floods of tears.

I am laughing now but I felt like crying earlier. I got what appeared to be a text from my daughters principal saying there was no school tomo due to heating issues. It was written really formal with apologies for late notice and request to text back and confirm we received the text. I was delighted as lie ins have been few and far between in the last few months between work and lots of things on. I have a bit of a cold too so am really tired. So text back I did and up comes my 12 yr old daughter laughing. She had gone into my phone and changed her name to that of the principal and sent the text. She was in the dog house with me and her younger sister who had read the text and thought she had no spelling test.:)

Daughter received 2 awards at School Awards night- staff almost had to remove the door from the hinges to get my huge head through it,I was so proud!!!

I know when my 7 year old was diagnosed with diabetes I wanted to hide and cry but had to stay strong, she has a 50% chance if long term complications, blindness, kidney failure, limb loss, heart problems and a higher risk if stroke. When her eyesight went funny I was worried it was the start of something worse. When we were told she was diabetic it was a relief I thought it was leukemia, she was going into a coma.

Her first period started 3 days ago. 2 hours after we arrived home from Italy and now her blood sugars are running high.

Always something to keep us on our toes....

I dont have kids and my parents are both dead so I live with my nanny. I sold my synthesizer a few weeks back, and after I got what I needed with the money I made, I had just over 100 euro left and could not think what to do with it. I then remembered how my nan told me a few times she would love to get a professional massage, so thats what I got her with my money. It was great to do something nice for her because to be honest I'm not the best grandson at times and she always treats me nice and is kind and caring and considerate. I could hear her crying with joy from my room after I told her and gave her a hug.

Last night,as I went to put the light out and take away his book and and kiss my 10 year old good night, I asked him was he tired, he said "I'm so tired my eyelids are shutting down by themselves."

The 13 year old started a blog a few days ago, and it is adorable, he made a picture (in paint of all things, trying to convert him to photoshop) for it today saying "everyone's a star" and his last few posts have been of the same ilk.
He checks it when he gets home from school and excitedly announces "Someone from Hong Kong was on it today!" adorable.

My 12 year old son's class were having a "fun day" today and were allowed bring in sweets. I bought him a bag of Haribo last night and this morning he was separating them out into another bag. I asked him was he only bringing half and he said, "No Daniel wasn't in yesterday so he won't know we're having a party and won't know to bring in anything"

I gave him the biggest hug, heart bursting with pride!

I suggested to my 17 yr old that he might do some study over the Easter. He looked at me and said with a smile, I quote, "Mum, don't worry about me, I'm destined for greater things than the average person".

Should i be worried? Or, should I go with it?
