Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

100% CPU - help?

    hi,
i hope someone can help me with this, i tried googling for an answer but ended up with a ton of technical stuff that was lost on me.
I have Windows Vista and every now and then it completely freezes and saying there's 100% CPU usage, and every time task manager says the only thing running is "Microsoft Works Calendar". Ive tried closing all my files to see if that'd help (like internet explorer, microsoft word) but the Calendar file still uses 100% of the CPU. Is it just some glitch that I can fix or is it something malevolent? Will it help just to keep turning off the program when that happens or would it be useless?
Thanks in advance for any advice :)

sounds like you have either a serious virus ,or spyware installed using up your cpu cycles.try run msconfig ,look at unusual startup processes, try loading up in safe mode, run virus and spyware scan.

Go to Start>Run and type in msconfig, locate any uneccesary taks under the startup tab including the works calendar, reboot the pc and see what happens. Unneccesary tasks would be anything bar your anti virus, firewall etc... If the calendar launcher isnt displayed in this program, please go to start>All programs>startup and see if its there, if it is, delete the link
