Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking to buy a laptop, some of them in the shops are marked as having Dual Core processor while others are marked as having the Core 2 Duo.

Is Dual Core an an older version of Core 2 Duo or instead is Dual Core just a category of processor that includes the Core 2 Duo?

core duo is the older version of the core 2 duo processors. Dual core just means what it says really...the processor has 2 cores, it's like two processors mashed together. The core 2 duo would obviously be the better option, it has better processor architecture, i think they both have similar L2 cache...not too sure about that one though! But, for most, the difference between core duo and core 2 duo wouldn't be that noticeable.
