Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    The Dynamics started in March 2013 with the disbandment of two of the members old bands. The idea to continue making music was decided impromptu during an acoustic session at Soulworks, Naas.

    Soon after, the originals "Staring At The Sun" and "Always On My Mind" were written. The band has just released its début EP, "Somebody Call...The Dynamics" and has had a very positive reaction, including a review from FORKSTER Promotion hailing these "ace,bluesy Irish rockerts!

    In its first year of its existence, the band has played in multiple venues across Ireland, including Whelans and Captain America's, Dublin, UL Battle of the Bands(runners-up), Stables Club, Celbridge Street Festival,Kildare, and many more exciting locations.

    The Dynamics are a fantastic alternative rock n’ roll sound/band who hail out of County Kildare, Ireland!
    These rocking talents bring swarms of intense, roaring, 50′s/60′s style rock n’ roll blues ‘in now music times’ with a gnarling mighty riff feel. There is also an exceptional alternative, soulful, melodic, vocal & music air going on around their extraordinary rock n’ roll platform!
    I really feel that rock music appreciators around the globe are really going to take for the ‘bringing & swinging’ electric vibe these rocking cats carry out impressively, big time rock n’ roll prospects here!

    Just paid deposit on 100 duplicate copies from Crystal Media, they've been a pleasure to deal with so far, hopefully the copies turn out okay. Can't wait until they arrive so we can bathe in them! :D

    Might try and get a gig to promote them, cancelled a gig this weekend due to cost of travel, was meant in to be in Mayo, would've cost €160 for us all to get there and back :(

    If anyone want's a hard copy of the EP, they are €5, not including delivery. This goes towards the price of production. Wish we could give them out free, but were not rolling in millions :P

    Just as I mentioned it, email came in about Celbridge Youth Cafe battle of the bands. :cool:

    Played in Celbridge few weeks ago alongside Fresh Rè, a lot of young people with good taste in music. :)

    Should be EPIC!:eek:

    All quiet here today.When we don't have gigs during the week or at weekends, I try to keep busy by sorting out the emails to the band, and updating the social media. Always try to have a listen to material from other bands in Newbridge like Reservoir,The Sting and David Barrett. No harm to have an open view of music, and in doing so, I've been able to make a lot of new connections for the band, and its never harm to converse with other bands about how they are getting on.

    Might be practising on Sunday, and maybe a sly #icebucketchallenge haha ;)

    We were entered last night into FORKSTER's "Friday Five" competition, it's a voting poll, and we got over 100 votes so far so delighted :)

    Doing the #icebucketchallenge in about 2 hours and it's freezing here, so looking forward to putting it up on Youtube :) Might try squeeze in a bit of practice. Turns out were playing against MEGACONE and Vintage Outrage at the Celbridge Battle of the Band in September. MEGACONE are making waves in Dublin, and will be tough to beat, plus Vintage Outrage are local favourites, but at the end of the day, it's not about the competition, it's about getting to show your music to others, and hoping they will like it! Playing the festival the next day would be a bonus! :)

    Delighted !! Got home yesterday to find 100 EP's in my room :D They couldn't have turned out better :cool: The artwork is by Rebecca Dunne and we recorded with Peter Lee! We used Crystal Media after a recommendation from a fellow Boardsie and they were really great!! :)

    Couldn't resist bathing in the EP's!! ;)

    Stables is always a great venue for bands, and I am the President of UL Music Society, so we always try to get a few gigs in UL !! :)

    Thanks to everyone at UL Music Society, and The Stables Club for a great night :) We had great fun, and hope you enjoyed our set!! :D

    Special thanks to ULMS, Eanna, our sound guy(fierce busy), Daisy and Alicia for these wonderful photos, and all the stage crew who worked to get the stage up in time!! Also, it was cool to see 'The Dusty Kicks' again and play with 'Paper Pawns' for the first time :cool:

    The Dynamics are looking to support some small bands in Dublin before December. We play original blues rock and will bring relatives and friends along to a gig suitable to our style. PM for details...
