    I'm struggling with the place of birth of George Strathdon Pile in the linked census return if anyone can help.
    I'm wondering where it says his birth was registered?
    The 1911 return records that he was born in Spain and the Free BMD has a birth record for a George S. Pile registered in 1866 in Chard, Somerset, both of which tie in with other info but I'm curious about where it says his birth was registered on the 1901 return if anyone can read it.

    If its G S Price then its says;
    Born at sea-registered at London.

    Looked at the actual form again and its Pile on it,Price on the transcript.

    Sorry - should have said it's the one wrongly transcribed as Price.
    I was reading the place as something beginning with S - London seems so obvious now!:o

    Cheers for that.
