Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When I got up this morn she lay down on the bed & her head was on the pillow. I put the blanket over her and she was too cute! Stayed there for almost an hour!

DMC17, another fab for the Dot fab club - pointer or pointer x? Exactly the same markings as the dog I lost last week. Shes lovely.

CORK SELFBUILD - your two are stunning too - who did the drawing? - REALLY impressive!

Her mother is a collie just like this one (Nina). That's all I know for sure. I'm open to suggestions/speculation for the other half.

She definitely looks like she has some pointer in her. Google photos of English pointer and German pointer and see what you think.

Yeah that's the most likely looking one. I had been thinking something like a setter as she has the same kind of personality.

Poppy's delighted about this whole winter-is-coming thing. She flops down on the rug the minute the fire's lit and doesn't move. (If she want's it lit she lays pressed up against the fireguard and stares at us pathetically)

Jerry the Springer is settling in well, lively bugger so he is tough as nails. He is always running into doors, his kennel and just picks himself up and carries on! I am truly astounded by how smart the wee bugger is too. I'm off for 2 weeks so expect lots of photos over the coming days now proper training has begun :D

Oh wow Jerry is a beaut! I have a 12 year old Springer at home in Ireland. He still runs into a door the odd time and plays like a puppy. Then he lies down and groans like an old man when he has to get up. Beautiful dogs. The little freckles on Jerrys legs are so cute:D:D

What a gorgeous cat! She's very like my kitten Teddy. Some local kids found her on the beach presumably dumped. She was tiny, weighing only 400g and had a bad dose of catflu. Our vet warned us not to get attached.. that was 3 months ago....

  • Registered Users Posts: 445 ✭✭teggers5

    Thank you!
She's also pretty unique. She has 5 toes on each paw so they look huge!
Here she is with a foster kitten that was here a few weeks ago..

They are very alike, except the toes!

Our girl is just around 4months, she slept in my daughters bed last night, still a bit unsure of herself, had a warning growl at the cats and Oliver when he barked and play bowed at her, but she's a real cuddle monster and purrs like a train!

Teddy looks so pretty, I love the one with the boxer, hope our dogs can be as good friends with her as that. They love kittens, but want to play the minute they see them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 445 ✭✭teggers5

Lol poor Teddy with her huge unladylike feet!
I foster kittens so our dogs are used to them coming and going. The other two dogs are not bothered with them at all but Kali just adores kittens and is so gentle with them.
Any names for your lady yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 583 ✭✭✭brrabus

I should be getting my first set of foster kitten shortly. Will be interesting to see how my two react, thought I would start them out of kittens to be safe.

I've had quite a few kittens through here, people think since I have a few, I'll take any stray, then there's always a fool that takes a kitten at 3 or 4 weeks, that I end up taking half dead. My dogs love kittens, but want them to play, Oliver will happily let them wrestle him to the ground, the big fool.

We are still trying to decide on a name, my daughter liked Penelope but decided no as she's classy to be called penny, Amber was another, or Hermione, current favourite is Isabelle, will update once decided.
Most of our animals names come from books.
