Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Now with the economic down turn hitting Ireland hard will we slip back down the Europe rankings in terms of average income?? We are second wealthiest apparently though I've always taken that with a pinch of salt.
I mean look at the level of infrastructure the likes of Germany, France, UK, and Holland for instance have in comparison to us.

that was always an illusory statistic, due to the high number of companies registered here to avail of the low corporation taxes.

The figure was arrived at by dividing GNP by the population wsn't it? If so a completely nonsense way of measuring wealth. Anyway if our American friends pull out on any scale we're fupped and the infrastructural base only half built.

depends on the report. many only bother with GDP which distorts it even further.

Every person in Ireland owes an average of €94k in debt so that has to be taken into account :Dhttp://archives.tcm.ie/businesspost/2008/06/15/story33690.asp
