Curiously a rtpi pole has appeared further down georges street nearly opposite hogans and a bit further down than the current bus stop which already has a rtpi sign.

Curious to know would this be a mistake or intentional

Is there an RTPI pole at the outbound stop before Hogans? Looks like this has been put on the wrong side of the street?

I believe this corridor will cater for rerouted buses affected by Luas cross city works. They appear to be planning well in advance with the positioning of RTPI poles (there are currently three RTPI poles on Redmond's Hill).

why in the name of god can't they put it in line with the bollards towards the edge of the kerb? Ridiculous to take up more space on the pavement than necessary.

The plan is that the 14, 15/a/b, 140 and 142 will re-route via Camden street and George's Street during LUAS construction.

Leeson Steet routes will operate via Kildare Street, Westland Row and Pearse Street.

Sorry to debunk yet another bizarre theory by Foggy Lad.

Whenever the LUAS works warrant it!

    There's no set timeframe yet.

I see they are now working on upgrading the outbound 65/83 stop. Must be soon enough so.

Is the parking going to be restricted on st gt george's st, Aungier st, Redmonds hill?

I'd be surprised if it isn't given the distance between the 2 stops on the city bound side

It should be only a matter of time before somebody bites the bullet and sees that Camden Street to Dame Street should not be a through route for private cars.

I'm not saying it will happen, but it should happen if the city is serious pedestrian, cycling and bus priority.

In could work wonders in connection with the NTA's draft plan for a decent priority route around the city centre.

There's also the beginnings of an RTPI pole citybound across from Cassidy's on Camden St.

Traffic on Fri and Sat night last buses will be amusing. As it is last buses southbound take 15-20 minutes to make it to Harrington St.

I understand that work is about to commence on installing a contra flow bus lane along Upper Camden Street.

This will be southbound from the junction with Camden Street Lower/Charlotte Way (opposite The Bleeding Horse) along the east side of Upper Camden Street and South Richmond Street, with a revised traffic island at the Camden Street Lower/Charlotte Way junction.

This is to facilitate the re-routing of the 14, 15, 15a, 15b, 140 and 142 bus routes during the LUAS BXD construction works. The bus routes will operate via Dame Street, South Great Georges Street, Aungier Street, Redmond's Hill, Wexford Street and Camden Street to rejoin the current route at South Richmond Street.

Routes 9, 16, 68, 68a and 122 will continue to operate via the loop of Charlotte Way, Harcourt Street and Harcourt Road to access Harrington Street.

They also might need to make those channels bus only and remove taxi's citybound on South Great Georges St anyway. ( for the Turn right onto Dame Street as that is a lot of routes to be pouring down that street.

Will the 65s and 83 be using the current loop or the new 14/15s etc pathway

There are no taxis allowed on contra flow bus lanes, but most taxi drivers ignore this. I wonder will this one be observed

Any bus going to Rathmines from Camden Street will use it.

It's just the routes going to the SCR that will continue to go around the block.
