Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mechanic or Independent Garage in Dublin South or City needed

    Want to get my mondeo fixed (it's outside warranty) I don't want to go the the main dealer again to get ripped off.

    Can someone recommend a good, reliable and trustworthy independent garage/mechanic in South Dublin or city?

    Btw, I did a boards search but don't see any thumbs up for independents who specialise in Ford (only audi or bmw).
    Any feedback very welcome, thanks.

    Thanks for that - will give them a try. I'm surprised there were not more replies given the amount of views on the page - is everyone still going to expensive Ford main dealers depite the recession?:D

    I'll second CrosstownK for SDP - very good work and honest.

    The other thing is, Ford dealers are generally very reasonable for servicing. I had an old Mondeo serviced with Advance Pitstop (I know, I was young :rolleyes:) which cost me more than having it done with a Main Ford dealer.

    Try calling Canavan Ford on East Wall Road - they might give you a fixed price.

    Thanks for your help on this - need to get a full service on the car as it is almost due and the main dealers I think are really expensive!

    I am on my second mondeo and swear by browne motors. They are in the Square, Tallaght, and another one in Robinhood Ind. Estate.

    Dean the service manager hasnt let me down yet.
