Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    HP G62 G62-340us Notebook PC
    Processor : Intel i3 CPU M 350 @ 2.27GHz
    RAM : 4MB
    HDD : 500GB HDD
OS : Windows 7 Home Premium
    Floppy Drive : No
    Graphics: Intel HD Graphics
CD ROM : Yes (ST9500325AS, has malfunctioned though)
Software : Other than typical HP related software, the remaining purchased software worth maybe €200+?
    MS Office : Yes
    Working : yes

Battery probably requires replacing but everything else is the same since factory install. It's roughly 5 years old and paid €700 for it brand new. I'm thinking it's worth a very generous €100 at the least...maybe?

Can only find this model with an AMD 2.2ghz CPU. Are you sure your model number/specs are correct?

I could be interested in this if you are looking to sell...

You'd get more than 150 for it. It's a pretty poor gaming machine but it's still a decent 2nd gen i3, good amount of ram and a decent sized hard drive. I'd be surprised if you didn't get closer to €250 for it.

I was thinking along those lines it would be a good entry level PC, im not asking what i would get but what i should be aiming for. Ya I was using it more for college work(Adobe cs6). And just on a side note the Graphics card is like the only 1/2 decent one compatible with the board had to get it new from the states.

The H520s takes low profile pci-express cards - there are any amount of them on Dabs, Amazon, OC UK, etc.

The 7570 is an OEM card, so unless someone convinced you that you needed an 'official' OEM part....but any low profile pci-e card will work in that machine.

For example this would work and would be 3 times faster than a 7570.

Or a cheaper one like this that would be twice as fast.

Or this would be about a bit faster.

Well i took into consideration the PSU, & according to a couple of the official lenovo forums this was the one to go with at the time. I was most likely mislead after looking at what you have shown me!

Cant post urls as i am a new user but https:// forums. lenovo .com/t5/Lenovo -3000-and-Valueline/Lenovo-H520s-Video-Card/td-p/964787

    Thank you TerrorFirmer.
Any idea what i could look for the PC if i where to sell it?

I think you'd be doing well to get that price! Very outdated processor/socket type and lower end graphics card, decent storage and other accessories but hard to make up for a weakish core (CPU+Card)

Depends where you sell it, but I'd say ballpark €400-ish.

Sorry, wherever I was looking at was different hardware. I didn't realise it was a 1st gen i5 now that I look at the link you've given. I thought it was a 2nd gen i5.

Still though, it's easily worth more than 179. I would say you'd get 250-280 for it on adverts.ie or donedeal.

With that 5650 you'd still plod through some games OK.

It's not what it's worth, it's what you know someone will pay for it.

I'd say 400-450 would be fair for it. FX6300 is 2-3 years old now. HD7850 discontinued. A better PC could be built for €400 so...

8GB MB RAM? Should that be 8GB RAM?

Could you post the Celeron model number, or approximately how old the computer is. There are a lot of Celeron processors with that clock speed.

Separate to my last post, why does it seem like so many people post relatively new (or even store specs)?

Perhaps update the first post to give guidelines (e.g. for anything under 6 months, subtract X% or add up the parts value using Y website)?

    *Partially broken Asus K53Sd*

Battery isn't charging and there's a problem with the (I think) power jack. Basically if the power socket is nudged it turns off.

Specs are: Intel Core i5-2450M 2,5GHz
    6GB DDR RAM
    500gb HDD
    GeForce 610M

Any ideas what it's worth - even just as parts?

Separate to my last post, why does it seem like so many people post relatively new (or even store specs)?

Perhaps update the first post to give guidelines (e.g. for anything under 6 months, subtract X% or add up the parts value using Y website)?

Thats still a new system spec. You'll find those specs in stores right now. Its worth the store price or just add up the component prices.

And subtract ~10%. Even though everything is new, any buyer is up shít creek with no warranty if a component fails because its second hand. Same as the second you drive a car off the forecourt its worth way less.
