Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Garage insurance

Sorry if this is in the wrong section!

Hi there, I'm new here, have just joined as I found most of the talk regarding the above topic has been on here (I have done a search)

First off I'm not trying to scam the system to get the above insurance and drive my 9 jap cars including civics skylines and the rest. I don't own anything like the above!

The way I'm insured at the moment is I have my policy on my car with the option of a 3rd party extension.

I'm an apprentice mechanic and do a lot of work outside the garage, I also have no way of transporting parts/tools due to it being impossible to get van insurance, and driving a recovery truck is out of the question.

At the moment getting insured under the garage policy is out of the question so that's not an option.

Is it possible under 21 to take out one of these policies both for 9-5 and social domestic out of hours to allow me do breakdowns? I don't mind taking a hit and it being expensive but is it even possible?

I don't like the idea of doing a job on someone's car and when test driving it only being insured 3rd party but it's my only option at the moment, I can't drive anything that's commercially taxed or doe'd as my policy doesn't cover it and I want to keep everything above board? I doubt I'm even okay working on it and using my policy to test drive it but it's better then nothing?

Alternatively a mate of mine is just gone 21 and on a garage policy at the moment, he will need his own garage policy at some stage so if he took one out with me on it is that an option?

    Any help is greatly appreciated
