Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I will be watching with anticipation of a nice betting angle :)

I won't be betting on the match tonight but this caught my eye.

City to win and both teams to score 3/1.

Both sides have scored in 4 of the last 5 meetings.

**** is going to get weird in the Dutch league.
If on wednesday both Feyenoord and Heerenveen win their matches, the last game of the season Heerenveen - Feyenoord could turn into a fix.
Of course we dont do fixes in Holland....

You think Feyenoord will allow Herenveen the win? and leave them level on points?

reports of two 5-man midfields tonight in Manchester.
Draw would suit utd. Can't see them taking any risks. Add to that Mancini's Italian blood and It all points to a snore-draw.

Under 1.5 goals (to be on the safe side) @3/1. :pac:

    Any link to these "reports"?

    No, the other way around.

    Bit complicated
    Facts:
Cup final was PSV - Heracles which PSV won.
PSV > always EL but could still finish 2nd. In that case Heracles > EL

If they( F&H) both manage to win on wednesday, Heerenveen is best off losing against Feyenoord.
Feyenoord will then finish 2nd, PSV will pick up the EL from the cup.

Important in the league is 5th spot.

Feyenoord 2nd = 5th will qualify for EL
PSV 2nd = 5th will have to play play offs for EL.

But this is only going to be an issue if Heereveen wins away to Twente.
Cant say that happening to be honest.
Also Feyenoord will have it tough enough a home against Heracles since Heracles will have a lot to win if they manage to stop feyenoord remaining in 2nd place.

Feyenoord will miss Guidetti and most likely Fernandez.
But, an evening match in a packed Feyenoord stadium is something else. Opponents are intimidated by the atmosphere most of the times.

Actually wanted to wait with posting this scenario until after wednesdays matches.
    But since you asked... :p

Would strongly advise against that, Mancini being Italian or not City have got to win, they will be attacking, the players (Aguero, Tevez Yaya, Silva etc) are not Italian and in front of their home fans they will be going for this.

A draw is no good to City, they may as well lose as draw so defensive tactics from them make no sense

Spurs last year and Arsenal this year. Both were must win games but like the Italian way they were overly cautious

I disagree but don't have time to elaborate at the mo!

This game is at home, its for all intents and purposes a winner takes all and as much as I'd love to have it in my head a possibility that Mancini thinks a draw is ok, he simply can't.

They cannot be cautious tonight, they can't be reckless obviously, but to do anything other then do all they can to win is unthinkable.

Couple of Balotelli bets popping up, didnt Mancini say he would never play him again?

Tevez first scorer 9/1 with PP, worth a punt?

No he never said he would never play him again, it was reported alright but they were false reports, Mancini himself has said recently he may play him against United.

Longford Town playing Wexford Youths on Saturday. I know its a while away in betting land, but 9 out our 11 games have been over 2.5, with us scoring first in every game!
Lumping on over 2.5 when I can.

Leiria president Joao Bartolomeu said in the post-match news conference that Malian midfielder Keita, who was expected to take part in the match, stole a suitcase of money from the club just before the game started.

bizarre, WTF are the club doing leaving suitcases of money lying around?

    Money-Back Special
If Wayne Rooney scores at anytime, Paddy Power will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score & Scorecast singles on the match.

Kinda tempting me to chance a FGS bet! Aguero @ 7/1 particularly

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

I'm aware there are other safer bets out there, but for tonight I have decided to put my 50 on BTTS at 8/13 and will probably end up putting the other 50 on a 2-2 draw

Gonna wait a bit and try and get a feel for the match. put my 50 pre-match on City to score a peno myself 6/1. Hopefully can make that back with the in-play bet if that doesn't come through anyway

Last week was terrible for me from a gambling point of view, so tonight will be my last for a while if things go pear shaped.

Have put on 3 singles to cover myself for first goalscorer. 20 each on

    Tevez @ 15/2
    Aguero @ 7/1
    Rooney @ 7/1

    Also put 40 on BTTS.

  • Registered Users Posts: 735 ✭✭✭Hamadeusentman

Just put €15 on Aguero anytime in Bambury's shop. 7/4.

United have had more penos recently, would have went that way to be honest.

i think overs in goals is a good in-play be

It's at the Etihad though. Evans and Ferd will be nervous after conceding 4, Aguero Silva and Tevez will be running at them from all angles, that's the way I see it anyway

My prediction to mates all week was 1-1, but I've stuck a small fiver on United to win, Under 11 corners and card index of less than 70.

    Returns 60

If Balotelli doesnt start.. Aguero will take the pens wouldnt he?? Im liking the look of him to score 2 or more goals 12/1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,610 ✭✭✭shocksy

Anyone have any stats for the derby on corners tonight?

I think over 11 corners at evens could be a shout, im taken no chances on goals etc so might chance corners instead.
