Dublin Bus Feeder Buses to Clondalkin Station that never happened

193: Clondalkin Rail Station - Quarryvale
194: Clondalkin Rail Station - Bawnogue

Two bus routes that were announced by advertisements in the evening newspapers the Friday before the Heuston - Kildare Arrow service started in May 1994, but for some mysterious reason never happened. Does anyone have any information as to why they never appeared?

At the same time, Irish Rail contracted two bus operators to run the feeder buses from Hazelhatch to and from Celbridge; and from Sallins to Naas. There is room for improvement but they at least are still running, unlike their stillborn DB counterparts.

A note to sensitive souls - this is not an excuse to bash DB, merely my puzzlement at how often the ball of integrated transport is dropped for apparently flimsy reasons in this country.

these routes were supposed to be allocated minibuses and even had destination blinds for them, but i think they never found the drivers for them and so they were quietly dropped in a similar style to the 13X & 16X
