Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You might want to try this have a search for a programme called "Multiproxy" and then visit here for a list of anon proxies

Untrusted public proxys can cache all your information, there are a few public ones in ireland, if you are on esat proxy.iolfree.ie on port 8080 will work fine it would be pretty well trusted as its an ISP.

What reason exactly do you want to go behind a proxy??
If its for speed reasons then there is no point since mst ISP's already use proxies at your point of entry - it saves them money.
If however, it's for anonymity use a public (free) anonymizing proxy, I don't know of any nearby to Ireland, but try http://www.anonymizer.com.
Or if its for security then depending on what system you're running you'd be better off using one of the "personal firewall" solutions. There are free versions available from both Sygate and ZoneAlarm (for Windows). Correctly configured these will mean you can be almost invisible on the internet to malicious users[sic].

If its a HTTP proxy it can be easily set up using a CGI script set up on a free webspace provider. I've used these to bypass firewalls/proxies that didn't allow access to specific sites - http://www.megaproxy.com
