Net Connection Problems This Morning?

I know this should be in the PC section normally but I think its important to people here too who more frequent this section by various connection means.

This morning a lot of sites in Ireland (and it seems, outside Ireland) is inaccessible for some reason.

From Independent.ie to even yahoo.ie and .com sites - all are having intermittent problems.
Even MSN Messenger is giving connection grief.

Vodafone say they are aware of the problem across Ireland.

If you think its is just your pc - chances are its not a fault this morning just to you.

Chrome and adobe flash have issued updates. These might (I say "might!") be the source of the problem for some company websites.

If your able to read this message on your mobile phone, I post the above just to reassure you - your not on your own with this problem.

Could be their DNS. Change your DNS to openDNS.

The Adobe update is to stop an exploit in flash which was being used for keyloggers.

I contacted Vodafone myself (I can't even connect to my own professional business websites) and other users whom I do business with.
All are reporting similar problems and have been told that this very unusual problem is across the net in Ireland this morning.

It must be only across Vodafone as those sites work fine for me.

Change to openDNS then check your connection.

Not a problem here. Could just be Vodafone.

Please - of course they are. Lets not go there. Its not needed.

This section is more frequented by folk and they log into here more so by various devices.
    'Nuff said by me.

I am finding it is not just Irish sites that are inaccessible (on Eircom - restarted router etc etc)

    Thanks for posting this thread.

    This is also very useful:

The sites I am testing are saying it is just me but obviously it is not.

:) I know you post in jest but some of us are trying to run net services as well.

Here is the link to take you direct to the Broadband section of boards.ie: http://boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=259
Many are having the same problem, across Irish net service providers and alternative modem make users.

So let me get this straight, your on vodafone who can't even keep the internet running & are planning to enfore stricter guidelines on it's users to cut file sharing on behalf of companies who claim to be losing out on money when the irish record association is running record high profits...

Why would you stay in such a terrible relationship?

It's like you're going out with an undependable liar who has no respect for you & plans to get stricter with you in the future...
