Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have an aul match later this evening - you play sport for this kinda weather - hard ground, warm but with a bit of a cool breeze in the evenings...perfect :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,789 ✭✭✭nicklauski

Evening games in this weather are ideal alright.
We played at 11 yesterday morning. By Jesus, the heat even then. Madness.

    Still love it though. :D

Speaking of Sky Digital, was down at a mates house last night. Somebody climbed up onto their roof and stole their aerial/receiver thing! As one of them said though, they'll probably be able to buy it back on GumTree soon enough :P

game of 5-a-side in DCU tonight and we're short a few players. 7pm start, if anyone's interested drop me a PM. will more than likely be a spot every week.

oh and before anyone points it out, this is off-topic. What we play could only be called football in the loosest possible terms ;)

Our match is cancelled this evening so it's just training, kinda glad to be honest. I'd pass out!

any regular online gamers here ?

just a quick question, does playing online impact alot on a cap ?

like a 50GB download allowance for example ?

The actual playing does not, but patches, downloads etc do.

Don't forget to set-up your PS3 connection right so you have the right NAT type. It's simple to do it and it makes on-line gaming much easier. Especially for Call of Duty and FIFA 2010.

Been stuck into Resident Evil 5 lately. Controls are ****e, but Im determined to finish it. Half way there. :)

Being introduced to guitar hero on the wii last year during my exams was the worst thing that ever happened me - wouldn't stop one night until I got 100% accuracy for Knights of Cydionia by Muse...finished at 5am - another night of 'would be studying' well spent :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,789 ✭✭✭nicklauski

    The wii remote?

Put your hand in. There should be a little clip that you can open and push down on to your wrist to tighten it, then close the clip to secure it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,789 ✭✭✭nicklauski

Ha I thought you meant the wii controller. :D

That National fish and chips day was a huge success from what I saw,I drover by about 10 chippers going through the city this evening and they were all packed one chipper in terenure they were queuing out the door.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,569 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

Same, I had to go to some stupid work thing in Donnybrook and there was a queue out the door of the Borza and going right down the footpath. Brilliant marketing on behalf of the chippers and I say they made an absolute bomb out of it.

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 21,254 Mod ✭✭✭✭Dub13

Yea I hope they do it every year as I love a bit of fish & chips,I did not get a chance to get some today.
