Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm in the middle of building an extension on the house .. going from about 1400sqft to 2300sqft. Previously 9 Rads with an Ideal Classic FF250 (15kw?) Gas Boiler, and will have 16 Rads when complete.

What Gas Boiler would you recommend as a replacement to suit the extended house ?

I'm also considering a Energie Thermodynamic Solar Water Heating system.

    Thanks for any advise.

The boiler should not be sized on number of rads but should be based on sized of the rads/heat loss of the rooms.

The Ariston gas boiler with outdoor weather compensation is worth a look. Also the Viessmann & Worchester Bosch are good boilers.

I got the Viessmann Vitodens 100W and the guys fitting it advised me to get this hot water cylinder that Gledhill make. This cylinder can be heated by my solar, stove and my boiler and has seriously reduced my bills because it also supplements my heating system!! Although I have been told there are similar products like this out there such as a heat genie, but again I have had no issues.
