Which keyboard for learning?

    My girlfriend would like to learn to play the keyboard, at the moment she does not have the time for proper lessons so who like to get a keyboard that will teach here the basics when she has a bit of free time.

    There is a Yamaha ez150 in argos for 200 euros there is 700 built in lessons and the keys light up so you can follow it would this be any good?

    Can anybody recomend a better one for around the same price?

    Any full size keyboard should do the trick.

    Go in to the music shops and she can play a few and see which she is happiest with,also take in to consideration if you are oging to want to hug it up to the pc and if the keyboard can facilitate it.

    My advice would be to get a keyboard that has touch sensitivity - the harder you press the keys the louder the sound. This means that the keys can be played with expression rather than having the same volume all the time.
