I'm registered for Vat starting 1st Sept. Im trying to do vat return at moment. Can I only claim back vat on good and services used in jobs that I have charged vat on? So I done a completed a job in August and was invoiced for goods used for that job Sept. thanks

you can claim back vat on anything you bought from the date of your vat registration...

from that date forward, you must also charge vat for all goods / services sold...
