Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There is two men going around the estate taking photos of the homes and cars that around the houses.

Have they legal rights to do this? Are they just there to look at the metres

What region are you based in and how are you sure they work for Irish Water?

    They are gold prospectors

    They are gold prospectors
No, they're prospecting for oil. Cars. Dead giveaway.

Go out and ask them what they're playing at.

    Then report back here.

    Beatha
Too much beatha turns you blind and gives you hairy palms.

Or no, that's too much bata.

I would actually consider reporting everything you saw to the cops. It might be paranoia, but it would be quite smart for burglars to have a van that has Uisce printed on it as a means to photograph possible robberies.

Could be completely innocent, if you are that bothered why don't you just go ask them? Normal people take photos too, just because they work with Irish water doesn't mean they are up to no good.

Is your problem with two people from IW being around your estate or two strangers taking photos?
Either way, ask them what they are doing and if you're concerned then notify the gardai. However, I suspect that they are not breaking any laws.
Taking a photo of cars is not illegal - there are several threads in the motors firm that actively encourage this!

Clearly about to take your house and cars because you won't pay 17 cent a day for an unlimited supply of water OP.

I'd stage a dirty protest in your kitchen in response if I were you.

How did you ask them? Was it a "Might I inquire why you are taking pictures of my house" or was it a "Bleedin Irish water, coming over here, stealing our children"?

In a public place, they can take a photo of whatever they want.
