Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He is taller than Suso, is he? Just in case, Swansea play high balls into the box

Swansea getting it too easy in Midfield. Id like to see Shelvey on and bring a bite to it.
Gerrard seems to be getting passed by in the game :(

Enrique is going to be this seasons Raul Meireles.

Ah yeah sure he should be praised every time he doesn't dive

Its too easy to get past Gerrard and Henderson, and Downing is a liability.

If he could just improve on his shooting, passing, heading, tackling, and taking people on he would be a decent player.

    Terrible ball by guess who.

    He'll score soon.

    Some serious moves there :)

No, but they make a big deal of it every time he does hit the deck.

In the incident I was talking about he was being tackled by three Swansea players and he kept going.

    So keep your stupid rolleyes!

The neutrals are going to be posting gifs of that Enrique stamp for weeks.

    I think Gerrard is hungover.

He's playing almost as bad as I would (Not really) after a night on the sauce.

He can play a lovely backwards diagonal ball though...

When you end up saying "thats very unlike him" more times than you don't say it, it's no longer "very unlike him"

Gerrard and Downing are frustrating as hell.

Who is the amazingg left winger disguised as Enrique?

At least he still has his "Downing shuffle". Run with the ball for 15 yards, then cut back. Finished off with a backward pass for extra skill points.

Referee let Swansea kick and pull away at Suarez and Gerrard at the edge of the box without doing anything.

    A bit fustrating.

Decent game so far, looking sloppy in midfield but we are making up for it with the chances at their goal. This could be a goalfest yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

As cliched as it is half time came around at the right time for Swansea there.

Might back Enrique for the first goal, the man looks like he could take Swansea on by himself.

Decent half of football. What's the thinking behind Downing and Enrique swapping positions?
It's bizzare, Enrique is terrible in the final third and Downing has had a nightmare at the back, constantly giving up possession.

    Everything but a goal
Poor Downing getting rockets played out to him on touch line
He's expected to gather those balls?
    Yea right

Impressive display so far. Particlarily from Johnson, Enrique and henderson is doing a good job. Just as long as we dont concede in the first 10 mins, i think we are well capable of coming away with 3.

Downing will be gone in January too.

I thought Enrique was doing ok in the final third? At least he tries to get on the end of things and is capable of winning the ball before it makes its way back downfield.

I think ones playing the crazy balls to him are giving up possession,

When have you ever heard so many commentators on sky praising an offside decision which was so close

Henderrson putting in a good shift - pressing swansea midfield and is getting into the box well - delighted to see u starting to get more players in the box

Looking comfortable - except for few times when swansea get behind our midfield

Gerrard looks out of sorts - possible sub for sahin

    Yea and crap angle,
    Looked level,
But can't confirm with silly angle
Not a clear cut offside like the make out

I would take off Gerard at this stage and bring on shelvey.
Downing obviously on the pitch to be match fro swansea. he is doing ok defensively.looks nervous.

Henderson, sterling doing well. there is definitely a goal coming for us.

Enrique is better attacking, last week it worked as Johnson was LB and kept making the overlaps, whereas this week Downing does not, I'd be tempted to switch them so Enrique can make runs down the outside for Downing. Dropping Stu isn't really on unless we want Agger at LB or Carra as RB and both are worse than what we currently have.

Gerrard not free to roam about
    Has huge responsibility in middle
    Not his game
    So looked tired and worked
Hate seeing him in this role !
We all know he's no midfield General

Gerrard will never be subbed off under rodgers barring an injury in game, think this will always be the case i feel, unfortunately.
