Some posters think these are the good guys, how naive can you get.
More pigs in the trough laughing at the gullible public.

Here's the link for those of us too lazy to copy/paste every time :)

Actually it seems to me more about Lowry and Kenny than the NTA myself, otherwise they'd just renew her term themselves.

There's several issues here really - cronyism yes but also this nonsense of appointing people because of gender quotas and because she's "not bad looking either!" according to the note.

The only funny thing here is how people think FG are any different/better than their predecessors.. very little has changed since Charlie's time and the only reason we haven't seen more of it in FG is because they only get elected when FF need slapping down, and only manage to screw things up so badly that FF become a viable choice again next time.

But your issue here is with Enda and co, not the NTA as such.

How does this have anything to do with the operations of the NTA, at all?

The blatant anti-NTA propaganda posted here by a handful of DB drivers is getting silly. Tendering is coming, get over it.

With recent developments, drivers have no fear of tendering, in fact we welcome it, the usual moaning posters will not know what to do when these tendered routes are a dogs dinner.

This type of appointment shows exactly what the NTA is, jobs for the boys & girls.
    To think otherwise is foolish.

In other news.. water is wet!

You don't really think anyone is surprised that every sitting government we've had has used it as an opportunity to create and stuff quangos, courts and other state bodies with their friends, relatives, and hangers-on do you?
That is the political system we have/tolerate, but until Joe/Mary Public starts to think of his/her electoral responsibility as slightly more than what can s/he get out of it too, it's not going to change anytime soon.

This has nothing to do with the NTA though, or what they're trying to implement from an operational/strategic perspective which is in-line with similar bodies in other countries.

In short, as I said earlier, your beef is with Enda, Joan and co and maybe if you (and everyone else!) use that anger to make your feelings known to your local TDs and vote intelligently come polling day rather than for "More of the same" MAYBE we might see change.

This really has little to do with the NTA, and more to do with adding another shade to Lowry's colourful political history.

Given that the OP was unwilling or unable to answer that question, this thread is being locked.
