    I've never seen this before. Thought I'd share :D. Does anyone know what they are?

    just from google , possibly eastern tent catapillars , apparently they destroy the tree and can wipe out orchards.

    Destructive little things then. The branches they are on are fairly bare compared to the others around them alright. Thankfully they're not in my garden!

    I'm fairly sure its Small Eggar

    I've never seen them and I need to cross reference with other websites and books.

    Interesting! I saw the same thing in Co. Clare (near Lisdoonvarna) last weekend, I'd never seen anything like it! Nice to know what they are :)
