Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Worth getting a new Lenovo laptop?

I am moving out for school and the laptop I am currently using is:

    HP J052nr
    Intel Core i7 4700MQ
    8 gb RAM
    Intel 4600 HD graphics
    500 gb Samsung evo SSD
    720P touchscreen (15.6 inches)

It's a good laptop and great for photoshop but my main complaints are that it is too bulky and the 720P screen is a bit low res. It also weighs in at almost 6 pounds.

Would it be worth it to upgrade to a Lenovo flex 3 for 600 Euro equivalent (buying in Canada) in your opinion?

    Lenovo Flex 3
    Intel Core i7 5500U
    8 gb ram
    Intel 5500 HD Graphics
1 tb SSHD (slower than SSD, but more storage)
    1080P 14 inch touchscreen

So, for 600 Euro, I get a more energy-conserving U processor (although significantly more gimped), a lighter, less bulky and full HD laptop although definitely will not be as powerful.

It is also 1.8 pounds lighter (4 lbs vs. 5.8 for the HP).

Is it worth the 600 Euro investment in your opinion?

Depends if you'll be using it. If carrying it around all day maybe.

Have you got a link to that Lenovo...

Seems like a great buy for €600

It's from Canada (I'm moving to Ireland) but if you're interested here is the link:

    ww w.microsoftstore.com/store/msca/en_CA/pdp/Lenovo-Flex-3-1470-Signature-Edition-2-in-1-PC/productID.318028100

I can get an education discount which lowers the price to $760 and with taxes it comes out to $860 which is =600 Euro. Yeah things are much cheaper in North America than Europe I presume.
