Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I loved Sesame Street as a child-haven't seen it since.
I genuinely thought they all really lived on the same street(except for the puppets, obviously!:o)

I was a big fan of Grover, and loved The Count too!
And laughed at the silliness of Mr.Guy Smiley!!!
Mr Snuffleupagus annoyed the hell outta me,for some reason:mad:

    Fond memories!

I love the original series (1969-1991 or so) -- In 1993 the show went to crap.... Now its a piece of garbage like most everything else on TV!!

I collect VHS tapes of different media from Sesame street.. Right now I have 9 different tapes (Most from 1986 (2 from 1988 (2 from 1990)))

Its very important for me to find ORIGINAL ANALOG RECORDINGS OF THIS SHOW as I want the nicest experience possible (This is how I remember the show so I want it the same way)

Its sad that they destroyed this show.... I recently found out the creator died in 1990 which is probably they did this in 93 icon9.gif

Here are my favourite songs icon7.gif

"C" is for Cookie by the fabulous Cookie Monster.
    Rubber Duckie by Ernie
    I Love Trash by Oscar
The original theme song, not this new garbage they have now..
    People in your neighbourhood
The Alphabet Song by Big Bird

Im sure there are more but this is all I can think of @ the moment..

More SS goodies (songs, etc) can be found here icon7.gif

I have two of the DVD sets - Old School Volume 1 and Volume 2

They're good. My kids like them as well.

I also have eight or nine Sesame Street LPs and a few 45s.

1977 was the first year I saw Sesame Street.

    Loved those end credits.

    - The driving.
    - The countryside in hazy sunshine
    - The trumpet
    - The CTW slide
    - The funky bit
    - The PBS logo

I remember a cartoon sketch involving a car that wouldn't start

and a groovy woman with a massive Afro getting out, lifting the bonnet,

opening her handbag, taking out the letter r and popping it into the engine.

And driving away with rrrr - rrrr - rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr coming out of the exhaust pipe!

How my mother laughed at that
