Does anyone recall the "Sunrise in the Scottish Highlands" and "Sunset in the Scottish Highlands" paintings which were common in farmhouses years ago.
I think that they used be sold at fairs and people might have got them as wedding presents. They usually showed a number of long horn hairy cattle drinking from a stream

Have a pair at home, think one is titled 'by the edge of Loch Awe' and the other 'Moonrise in the valley', both featuring cows with bike handlebar horns. Both b/w and there since the year dot. I'd imagine they were mass produced and not worth a whole lot, but a hell of a lot better looking than spooky holy pictures.
