Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    They actually seem to be opening quite a few routes:

    Belfast Intl to London/Heathrow
    Belfast Intl to Amsterdam
    Belfast Intl to Barcelona
    Belfast Intl to Geneva
    Belfast Intl to Budapest
    Belfast Intl to Rome/DaVinci
    Belfast Intl to Malaga
    Belfast Intl to Faro Algarve

    Unfortunately they seem to think Belfast International is in south county Down. :(

    I wonder if Belfast-> Dublin is on the cards (or vice versa).

    Especially for long-haul to the US. Dublin->Belfast->Boston/NY/Chicago?

    It would take longer to get from the front door of the airport to your seat on the aeroplane that it would to drive from Dublin Airport to Belfast.

    I think what they really need is to be able to put more of the larger aircraft into two-leg flights, something like Warsaw-Dublin-Los Angeles. Already some of the flights are marketed like this.

    At the same time, having a short-range, high-capacity aircraft on the London-Dublin route would free up a few slots, without eating into service too much.

    Can you imagine the hoopla if people flying from Dublin to the States were expected to stop over in Belfast? They might as well re-instate the Shannon stopover without the pre-flight US Customs clearance

    The trick is to do: Shannon-Dublin-North America, Belfast-Dublin-North America or Cork-Dublin-North America. Cork might be manageable if carrying only a partial fuel load. It would mean a longer stop-over in Dublin though, but probably less than a connecting flight.

    Victor - putting A330s on internal flights is crazy - it will massively increase the cycles and thus decrease the lifespan of the aircraft. With the stopover gone we shouldn't look backwards IMHO.

    Maybe fly the short legs un pressurised, that would decrease the cycles.

    No..sorry ...that wouldn't work. Forget that.
