Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

NIS 2003 Blocking Internet traffic via router

    Router: D-Link 504
    Firewall: Norton Internet Security 2003

    Problem:

When NIS2k3 is enabled it doesn't allow any programs to access the internet. On an immediate disable, programs can go straight through.

    Solution:

I have no idea. Has anyone come accross a similar problem and a solution to it?

I can ping other machienes on the network. These have not got NIS2k3 installed on them at the moment. Would i be better off considering another firewall (i found zonealarm likes to block local LAN traffic?!) or configuring the Advanced Filtering & Firewall settings on the router. If so what should these settings be?

Once you add your local lan or certain ips to Zonealarm it works fine. Maybe the same with Norton ?

lan works fine, just can't get out to the internet.
