    Hi

Brother needs a Distributor for his 98 Honda Prelude 2.0i

    eg

He was thinking of heading up to Traynor's up north to get one.
    Is there a difference between a V-tech & non V-Tech distributor?

    Cheers

    What's V-tech? Don't they make kids toys?

If you mean VTEC, yes there is a difference. You need the exact same one, it's written in it, usually in the form TD-xxU, eg TD-28U.

    Grand. His one is TD-88U
    Hopefully Traynor's has one.

    Cheers

Google for it and you'll find what cars it was in. Helps when looking in breakers to know what cars to look in in advance. Possibility it was used in other cars.

That's why I fired up the thread.

    Tried ebay too. Cheers anyway.

This one according to the log book

    F20A4 1997cc

F20 was also used in Accords, tho not exact one same (have seen F20B1 & F20B5, both SOHC). Good chance the Accord distributor would do. If it looks identical it probably will do.

Grand. I'll pass this info onto him tonight. He's off tomorrow and on the hunt for a rpl. He has it out of the engine to compare.

    Again, cheers for you help.
