Need to replace shower mixer - looking for suggestions

The attached photos show the old TOPLISS shower mixer.
It is almost impossible to adjust temperature due I think to worn pistons on the inside - the things that control the flow of hot and cold water.
Given the very short pieces of inlet pipes and my desire to minimise damage to the wall tiles, can anyone suggest a replacement unit that might work?
Or any advice on an alternative approach would be appreciated.
    Ger.

cut them out and blank the hot. Then fit an electric shower, it will cover the crap left behind.

Or get a new mixer that will cover the damaged and removed tiles.

or open the unit and see if you can see small slot head grub screws that control the flow from each pipe.

or tec 7 the handle to the spindle.

    or get a plumber

To do it right, you're gonna have to remove some tiles unfortunately. Replacing with an electric shower will look odd down so low on the wall. This job would be made so much easier if that wall backed onto a hot press with pipework access.
