Planning permission from the local council (only reqd if building or converting a shop or putting up big dishes or multiple dishes on the outside)
    Tax the revenue commisioners (www.revenue.ie)
Oh and youll need a TV licence  (from the post office)

FTA systems are popular because theyre a cheap and reliable way of getting The BBC or foreign language stuff since most countries (but not Ireland or the Netherlands) have at least one national channel FTA on satellite

    whatever.

open the shop or simply advertise. get some money coming in, go to revenue and get Vat number http://www.revenue.ie/

no other permissions are required if you are a " sole trader " which you can do from home or a shop

if you wanted to sell cheese there would be hassle with health officials but sats and techy stuff are fine as long as you do not advertise porn or adult content in the window :)

do not discuss cams/emus in here , see the charter
