Right lads, I'm having some nasty probs here, if anyone knows of anything. Couldn't find anything on the net, so kindly get stuffed if you're going to say google it.

The game crashes about 2 minutes into play EVERY time.
And nothing else on my PC is crashing.
Does anyone know of any kind of system incompatabilities with the game?

    I'm running it on:

    AMD Athon 2700+
    ATI Radeon 8500 128
    Windows XP

    Any replies appreciated.

I dont know any thing that would help specifically but try
updating graphics drivers etc...ya never know.

It's fairly new so im sure people with this bug are working on fix, try every couple of days to see if someones found a cure yet.

Looks like CombatCow wasn't doing his beta testing job properly :D

Well, I think I found out what was happening.
It was crashing because of corrupted files.

So I did reinstall, and same thing again. :(

Back to the shop I am thinking, tbh.

its unlikely that its corrupt files if it happened in beta as well...of course shop isnt to know that. Just say its defect and that u want money back...then wait for the bug to be patched or whatever and buy it again :E

Aaaa shut your cryhole magic monkey,Angelwhore sounds like ur running out of virtual memory or somthing,I was testing it on a 2.5Ghz pentuim 4 with 256 ddr and a nvidia GF4MX ( pos ) gfx card.Dunno... the only thing i can think of is fresh re-install of both games ( did u just re-install TFT over the old war3 ? ),maybe DX9 / new catalyst drivers, Connect to B.NET for an update, check the FT forum - http://www.battle.net/forums/board.aspx?ForumName=war3x-general - clutching at straws here ?

You need teh 1.10 patch methinks

I had downloaded the patch, Neo. Still to no help.

Certainly dont think I was running out of virtual memory. It would mostly freeze up in the first 5 minutes of play. And yes, I did do a completely fresh install, there's no option to uninstall only the frozen throne. All my drivers are up to date as of recently.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

I'll try upping my Virtual Memory later, but I don't think that's the problem.

Unless that's actually the problem then back to the shop it seems.

Is the game freezing or crashing back to the desktop,if it's freezing it might be somthing overheating the gfx card maybe ? were u overclocking the card or did u check if the fan died on it ?

Bingo Bango! Sugar In The Gastank!
    We have a wiener!
    And all that rot...

Thanks Combat Cow, it seems that it was due to the video card.
I set it all back to default, and the game plays fine, not a single crash whatsoever.
