Sound problem on Philips TV

We bought a new 42" TV last weekend. Philips 42PFL3606H/12. We noticed that the sound was stopping or pausing intermittently when viewing. This could happen every minute or every three or ten mintues, there was no distinct pattern. There's two HDMI cables running in to it - XBox and Sky. The problem occurs with both sources and we have put back our old TV and there isn't a problem with that so we have ruled out that it's an issue with Sky or the cables. It was brought back to Harvey Norman lastnight and they gave us a replacement. Hooked up the new TV lastnight and the same thing is happening with the new one. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Surely we didn't get two bad TV's in a row. Is there anything else it could be? Thanks.

    Maybe needs a firmware update?

I just checked the philips site for support and the following is listed in the latest firmware:
    TPM61E_2.19
    (Date published: 2011-10-06)
    • Intermittent sound lost when you connect an external device via HDMI
    • Multifeed option is disabled in Sky channels. (Only applicable to country, Germany)
Perhaps check if your current software version matches? On the remote, press home key, set-up, software set-up, current software info.

If its out of date probably worth an update.
