    Hi All,

Could someone tell me if head restraints are necessary for a DOE test on a van ?

    Cheers!

some new vans like the Hyundai H1 don't have a head rest for the middle seat, on that basis I'd say they're not a legal requirement.....

Just completed the training course for the heavy goods vehicle testing, so not fully up on the lights but afaik head restraints are not needed. If they are fitted they will have to be secure.
Also if you are missing the one from the drivers seat, dont leave one in the passenger side!
