Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its something like a logo but not printed by litho or screen printing. It could be a 'rubber' stamp of some sort, but not sure what on as there is a strong light reflection there. Maybe it is something like printing on a light bulb - I think those 'v's are representing 'e's and there is something in the back of my mind about a firm that uses that.

I thought it was like the markings on china or porcelain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,782 ✭✭✭✭looksee

Yes! what i was trying to say was that it was a stamp rather than any other kind of printing. Lord the auld brain is getting very rusty.

    Nobody has gotten it yet.

Hint: Although the photo shows a slightly green background, it has a white background.
It's smaller then any of the objects in the answers so far, but most of you will have handled this object in the past year, some of you many times ...

Slightly green???? It's pure green. What colour are the letters in real life?

    Smaller than household dust?

This one seems to be stuck !, if the background is white then it has the shine of china or porcelain but the size part throws me.....I googled ZVV and it came up as a German Train....I'm presuming its not a German train is it

    Methinks another clue needed

Is it a medicine tablet or capsule????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,174 ✭✭✭beer enigma

Or a stick of rock that you used to get at the seaside !

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,034 ✭✭✭garancafan

I thought at first that it might be X and Y chromosomes! but it seems to be the letters X Y Z. I would guess that it is greatly magnified dots (possibly a dotted line or arc) and could be red in colour.

I think red sean has the honour. But let's have two! Particularly at this time of the year.

Not really an 'everyday object' but it was interesting

Not saying too much here as it is not a 'go' at anybody but as you can see by the OP it is not an object based quiz, just a quiz with pictures :)
