Good places to visit are the Royal Ontario Museum, The Ontario Science Centre,
    the CN Tower and Centreville.

If you are into food I suggest the St. Lawrence Market (fun to walk through) and Kensington Market (also fun to walk through).

This will also give you tips on what to do and see, etc.

If you like gardens, then visit the Botanic Gardens. In September it will still have the mosaicultures and it will also have the Garden of Light.

At the same location as the Botanic Garden is an insectarium, bio-dome, planetarium and the Olympic stadium.

There are lots of brew pubs around town and the wide variety of local beers is amazing. In my opinion the more interesting streets are St. Denis and St. Laurent, Mont Royal, Prince Arthur, but pretty much any street is interesting in some way! St Catherine is the main shopping street downtown, and the main street through the gay village further east. Cresent St. is a famous street for bars and it's the focus of the formula one weekend. I don't like it too much though! I think St. Denis or St. Laurent is much more interesting!

There are usually a few festivals on at the same time, pretty much year round.

There is a great view of the city at the chalet on Mont Royal and it's well worth going up. You can get the 180° version of that view from the grand prix track, which you can walk, drive, cycle around. To get to the grand prix track you can drive, walk, cycle or take the subway (metro) to parc jean drapeau. There are outdoor swimming pools there, a beach, a casino and various other stuff.

The old port area is one of the most popular tourist areas and place des arts has lots of venus for theatre, music etc, and usually has lots of things going on outside such as free concerts and various other things.
