Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Connecting flights baggage allowance

    I've booked flights to China on ebookers altogether as a single package. The route is (Aerlingus) Dublin - Heathrow - (Malaysian Airlines) Kuala Lumpur - (Malaysian Airlines) Guangzhou.

    I'm just wondering about the baggage allowance. The allowance for Aerlingus is 20kg and the allowance for Malaysian airlines is 30 kg. Since my first flight is Aerlingus, can I bring the 30kg onto the aerlingus flight or am I restricted 20kg? I've never booked connecting flights with 2 different airlines.

    Just wondering if anyone has had similar journeys. Thanks in advance.

    As it's booked on one ticket, you'll get the greater allowance :)

    Yeah you get the allowance of the main carrier, which in your case is Malaysian ! Just make sure you remind the check in clerk in Dublin, if there is confusion. I had a similar flight where she said My bags were over weight etc but was fine when I mentioned emirates allowance!
