Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey, I'm looking to pick up a basic laptop for wireless websurfing, watching the occasional dvd, putting tunes onto an iPod...

Any advice on this one would be great...

    Thanks!

Vista will run on 1Gb of Ram and you will be able to open applications etc but if you have more than one or two running you will notice a severe slowdown. Vista itself requires 1/2Gb to run so if you are ont eh internat and have media player running the machine will slow a lot. I'd recommend looking for a machine with at least 2Gb of ram if your going for Vista, or get try to get that machine with XP installed if possible.

Maybe have a gander at this one??

Choice is yours but I also find that it's best to buy a Laptop that you like the look and feel of and it's very hard to judge that from the internet.
