Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    That's a wifi extender. Only need one. Although a proper home plug setup may be better.

    Thanks for the response.

    Are you sure? It says wifi powerline extender (as opposed to wifi repeater).

    How can I use it (assuming I only have one)? I've tried turning on WPS on my UPC router, then pressing the button on the device - the LED lights go solid green but then start blinking again - I'm not sure if this means it's working or not working!

    Its not a repeater, you need to buy a basic wired only one to pair with it.

    Ok, thank you! Does it have to be the same brand, or will any one do?

    Can you or anyone recommend the cheapest device I can buy that'll work with what I already have?

    (Sorry I'm clueless about this :o )

    If you get these, you should be able to put this beside the box, Ethernet from the horizon into these, and then your ebay in the attic to extend the signal

    Sorry for jumping in here but I have a TP-Link - TL-WPA281 which has 2 units. One is conntected to an ethernet port in an upstairs bedroom which is wired to a router in the attic. The second one is downstairs and provides wifi. Problem is the one in the bedroom seems to be busted - no lights on but there continues to be a hum from it - while the one downstairs seems to be OK. Could somebody tell me if the second one was connected directly to the router via ethernet cable would it be able to provide wi-fi or do I need to replace the 1st one?

    Related question - what would be the best option to replace the current broken unit? I could do with a second wifi unit and under the current arrangement I only have wifi downstairs and even then I have to move the second unit around the house to get service at times. Maybe if I purchased a twin unit set I could have wi-fi around the house without the need to constantly unplug the unit and move it to where I require service.
