Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has the service station on Dublin Road on the right hand side closed? I mean the one nearer to the railway bridge as you leave town.

Have to guess he means Kilmartins (Dublin road near the old railway line)

The railway bridge itself has no stations anywhere near it (Grove is ~ a mile away)

Cant say i've seen any of them closed. You could mean Apple Green (which i think closes every night at 10)

Possibly the one on the Mccormacks centre stretch of road in front of The Shack. It's been a Maxol, a Safe oil and more recently a Top oil station. Has had a chequered past these few years.

For anyone with any business sense, living in the area, they'd know that to open a petrol station with Topaz down the road and the N6 would not be a wise decision unless they have money to burn.

Henseys? Hennessys? The surname over the door was something like that. They were broken into not long ago AFAIK. Not really sustainable with Topaz down the road, another petrol station in Golden Island and Kilmartins on the approach to town from that side. There's no need to 4 fuel stations on the same side of the road between the centre of town and the outskirts.

Was a ghost town when barney Kenna (sp ?) had it... Always did well when Kevin obrien had it... Until it died out... Not sustainable now.

Clarification I meant the one nearer to the old Chadwicks which is now a furniture store.

The couldn't tell if it was just opening or closing down when I was in it a week or 2 ago. Had little or no stock on the shelves
