    just a quick question. im wondering whether the actually mirror itself just pops off the actual unit itself. i failed the nct because of a cracked mirror and if i could just get a new mirror without getting the whole unit, that would be very handy.

    Yes - you can buy the mirror glass on it's own. It just snaps on. Be careful though and apply pressure to the centre when fitting.

    yea you'll pick up the mirror glass itself for about €10-€15, they have a big patch of double sided tape that you use to put over the cracked glass

    If you do that you'll lose the heating - better to buy the correct glass, remove the old one and then fit the new one.
