Since chat is now no longer allowed at all in YLYL, can there be a rule stating that if you post something from xkcd you are required to post the roll-over caption? It's often the funniest part!

Those that don't should be forced to eat a light bulb, one of the energy saver ones for extra toxicity.

I actually agree with you OP, the comics aren't the same without the hovertext.

    Sykk, check out here: www.xkcd.com
There is additional text when you hold your cursor over the comic, which is generally funny and necessary for the joke to work

    Hovertext
I think you'll find they are actually called tooltips

Chat is allowed in YLYL, but at a minimum. When people keep discussing or arguing over some unimportant point of some picture, it ruins the flow of the thread, particularly when no picture is posted.

Not an official rule, but best bet is if there are two or three posts with no pictures, don't post unless you're posting a picture. It's You Laugh, You Lose, not You Laugh, You Query Some Irrelevant Issue Arising From The Picture, You Cause Everyone To Join In The Discussion, Everybody Loses.

Though I agree about posting the roll-over captions. The unsung heroes of webcomics
