    Hi,

looking for some advice here - I own a small business, and am wasting a lot of money on (trying to) heating the office.

The office is made up of two identical units each with 55 m2 of floor space on the ground floor and a mezzanine floor providing a further 30 m2 of floor space. The ceiling is maybe 7m high, and the roof is just kingspan panels. The units are about 7/8 years old.

I'm thinking of putting in a suspended ceiling to reduce the amount of space to heat - anyone any opinions on whether this would be a good way to go?

Is there anyway to reliably calculate the ROI on a project like this?

Apologies if people feel that this post should be in the construction forum - it was a toss up.

    Thanks in advance,

    Yom.

Alot of unknowns, you should get a non-domestic BER assessor.

As shanered has said there are a lot of unknowns in your post. Certainly putting in a suspended ceiling to reduce the volume requiring heating would help. You'll need to insulate the ceiling though. Heat loss is just one factor. SEAI have a register of non-domestic assessors here https://ndber.seai.ie/Pass/assessors/search.aspx
