    Dublin Bus is currently looking for Travel Assistants:

    Dublin Bus is launching a pilot project shortly called the Travel Assistance Scheme. The aim of the project is to give people with disabilities the information and confidence they require to use public transport independently. As part of this project Dublin Bus has vacancies, on a contract basis, for two
    Travel Assistants whose role will involve journey planning and accompanying people on public transport.

    The ideal candidates will have:
    • Experience of Disability Equality Training.
    • A minimum of one year experience in working with people with disabilities.
    • Knowledge of access issues, mobility issues and a commitment to the principles of ‘Universal Accessibility.’

    The following skills are desirable:
    • A proven record of willingness to take the initiative and adopt a proactive approach
    • Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Planning and organisational skills.
