    I think it depends on getting my friends and family to use it too. Took me long enough to get my dad in the UK to use Viber! Looks brilliant though, hopefully it will turn out well.

    They've neglected Google Talk on Android for a long time, it's never been added to the sharing context options which is badly needed.

    I assume this will be effectively replacing Google talk, would be nice if there is a stand alone applications for computers for any one who doesn't use chrome.

    Google Talk already has this. I use it all the time, it's just on Android it's not as good as it could be. http://www.google.ie/talk/

    I know it has, I've been using it for years and like you I've been frustrated that it hasn't been improved. Hence why I said bable will probably effectively replace Google talk, and then went on to hope it would literally replace it, ie get its own app on pc/laptop to make talk redundant.
