Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    any Ford experts around?

My 2004 Focus ST170 had a warning light come up just now. Yellow light with a cogwheel sign and an exclamation mark inside it. My handbook says it's a multi functional warning for auto transmission problems. Thing is, It's a manual.

Might be due to standing for a couple of months, battery could be a bit low

Did you do the dash diag trick to get the fault code?

    http://www.talkford.com/page/fordwiki/_/mondeo/mondeo-mk3/instrument-cluster-self-diagnostic-mode-r122

Works on the mk1 Focus also, cycle through the options with the odo button until you get to DTCs.

The dash shows stored codes also, not just permanent ones.

Doesn't need a trip computer. All mk1 focus have a digital odometer with basic trip function.

Like I said it doesn't need one. With the ignition off, hold the reset button and turn on the ignition. Press the reset button to cycle through the various displays

It works on any Ford with the basic digital odo in the centre of the dash. As shown here: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/iGL9JkbsXWY/maxresdefault.jpg

Thanks for the help. I'm there now. The DTC shows 9318 as I suspected battery low....there are no stored codes (showing 0000 rather than n0nE as expected, but that's maybe because the battery was disconnected?

Started with charger starter and no warning symbol appeared so I guess that's all it is

Engine left runin g now to charge battery. Can't go out on road for a spin, car is SORD
