Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm really hoping someone can help me here. My sister's 06 Focus has been lying up for a while and the battery has gone flat. I went to open it up there and the key won't turn in the one and only lock on the drivers door!
I'm stumped now, obviously I don't want to force the key in the door but what do I do now?!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
    Thank you.

Try putting jump leads on it the battery might be stone flat then try your remote.

Failing that plenty of freeing oil in the door barrell.

    Update.
I changed the battery in the key.
When I open the bonnet with the key the alarm goes off so I think there's still juice in the cars battery.
Neither key will open the door manually. It looks like some idiot tried to mess with lock before, it's a bit bent out of shape.
Either that or the drivers door lock has been changed at some point and the ignition key no longer matches it.

Cheers man, I tried a bit of WD40 in the barrel first, no joy.
The car is in my neighbours drive way nose in and I can't get my jump leads anywhere near it!

After a few hours it finally dawned on me to ring the AA, I've been a member for two years and forgot I was. DERP!
