Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Flat enough, last climb plenty far back enough to re-group any riders that get dropped.

Overwhelmingly likely to be another Kittel win.

Can you tell I'm slightly less enthusiastic for this stage than yesterday's? :pac:

Haha yeah, it is kinda boring now for the sprints. If Kittel stays with the front group and gets a half decent lead out train, he is unlikely to be beaten in a sprint... Even if Cav was still in the TDF I am not really sure he could take it to Kittel, the man is immense.

There is a strong possibility of cross winds ...so maybe not so boring

Looking at the Tour route....this is going to be one of the hardest Tours in many years

Going to be dramatic ....Tinkoff Saxo though do not have a strong team....

Saxo think they have problems I'm doing a Hub Service on my cosmics nightmare

Preview- a break will go early, maybe with a gc danger man. Astana will control and nit let the break get too much time, then lotto/giant will start to get the trains ready and catch after the last climb, then greipel will get boxed in and kittel will take an easy win.

Also, Coquard and Sagan will contest the intermediate Sprint behind the break.
Carlton will lament how poor the tour is now froomedog and cav are gone
Sean Kelly will have an 'eeeehhhhhhhh' that goes for at least 4 seconds

coquard will show up at the sprint, then Sagan will look at him with disdain and scare him off....

    Kittel wins the Sprint /thread

Any chance the terrain tough enough to tempt Sagan & Cannondale to try & snap the elastic in the peloton to distance Kittel?

Nico & Rodgers are going to be under massive pressure from now on
Tinkoff Saxo are getting loads of criticism on social media as a 'bad' team

Ah sure before the tour everyone was saying how strong the team was. People are fickle.

Glad to see giant been made to do some of the chasing. The last few sprinters days have been tactically poor by lotto canondale and opqs. They did all the chasing and giant just appear with 2km to go to sweep away with the stage.

Pretty big crash but everyone seems ok

    Edit: Second crash

Not near the front today . But it was Jesus that fell so he must be there somewhere

6 TSTs on the front of the peloton right now, presume Nico is one of them. Astana and Giant Shimano also on the front closing the gap

    Jesus Hernandez has abandoned

    Jesus Hernandez has abandoned

    Sounds like bad concusion

    More work for Nico

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Wow, that's a collector's item. Tony Martin's not got the legs to do his turn for OPQS.

Demare being dropped, very high pace in the winds.

Not seeing a lot of G-S riders at the front. Might not be a Kittel day

Never mind, definitely not a Kittel day, he's had a mechanical and he's out the back.
