Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Or cheesy Commitments on RTE2, Die hard on TV3 , Penn & Teller on ITV1, Graham Norton on 3e, Wallander on BBC4. There is no need to suffer this soft focus twaddle.

I have no idea what she asked him. She kissed him after introducing him, I then left....

Try as I might, I cannot fathom this kind of tedious, misanthropic, right-wing attitude.

I'm not right wing, but I dont appreciate being lectured to about how we should be supporting dying people in another country from somebody who walked out on the Presidency of her own country.. She's also responsible for FLA that enables people like John Gilligan get high paid solicitors like Giovanni Di Stephano to represent him and hand the taxpayers the bill..

I hate way Miriam keeps talking to and looking at the guest while the audience are clapping... looks very unprofessional..

    I'm not right wing

Well, of course not... Those who moan about "left-wing do-gooders" are never even remotely right-wing.
, but I dont appreciate being lectured to about how we should be supporting dying people in another country from somebody who walked out on the Presidency of her own country..

When I reminisce about those dark weeks when we were left without a President, I often wonder... just how did we cope? Why couldn't Mary Robinson have been more like her predecessors, and treat the office of President with the respect it deserves... as a handy opportunity to spend fourteen years in comfortable obscurity/semi-retirement. How dare she spend six years & ten months doing good (and 'doing good' is bad, obviously), and then have the temerity to resign and do more good as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights ('human rights' being another bugbear of those who are not-at-all-right-wing).

Use one bad example to disregard the whole. Free legal aid is a great thing for those that can't afford it. You should be careful what you give out about, as one day you might be availing of it yourself...you never know.

Ray, you can only be on one side of the argument.. either you thought she did a good job as President and the job IS worthwhile, or you think that the job is worthless (in which case you would question why she signed up to the second term)...

Just catching the repeat at the moment of the bit that I missed.. Cant believe she's giving Lowry such a soft run... To say that the guy is promoting a casino, which in itself is not currently legal in the country, tells more about the man himself than anything else.. "One may smile and smile and be a villan".. And he is..

I always think it is good to look at both sides to an argument.

Also there is nothing wrong with being either Right wing or Left wing, I hate when both sides think that it is a slur to suggest some one is either and then take offence when people turn around point out that they are either.

If you are calling someone a left leaning pinko law library liberal be prepared to be call a heartless right wing bastard, both are extremes and are rarely arguments. Kind of like finish an argument with "your a dick" and getting the reply "your a ****".
