Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I have sold a few cars over time on ebay without problems, but the recent few times I have noticed I'm getting emails from buyers who say "Hi I'm not living too far from you, give me a call on 086*******". Always different names and numbers, but all living in Limerick or Dublin. I just don't trust this, if I sent on my number I get no response, And to be honest I feel if I call someone to buy my car they are getting the upper hand from the start. Anybody else get these messages?

aside from the dodgy sounding ad response.... What? How does callign someone give them the upper hand? Only if you somehow cave in mentally as a result... very strange mentality.

Would you refuse to call someone back if they'd left you a phone message saying "i called this evening about your ford model T, please call back my number is ...."?

The wording of that particular things does sound strange like one of those automated spam mail things though. But i just found it strange what you said about calling someone in relation to your car for sale

Of coarse I'd call back if they left a message, but when they don't call my no. when provided and they all have the same 'automated' messages it's a little strange. Also I would never call them after they not calling me,

You're right not to bother, if they can't be bothered to use their own phone credit to ring you, they are dreamers.

Saw a good line o. Donedeal the otherday " if you can't afford the phone call then you can't afford the car" sums it up really :)
